North Dallas House Renovation

Living in a house originally built in the 1950’s and renovated in the 80’s, on a large beautiful lot in north Dallas, the Owner desired to sell the property and build a new residence, again in the north Dallas area.  The Owner commissioned davisdesigngroup to assist in analyzing each new site to help determine if each site would meet the Owner’s design, location and budget constraints.  After examining every site available in the desired area, the Owner and ddg began discussing the viability of renovating the existing residence to meet their needs.  A space program and preliminary design concepts were prepared for review and preliminary pricing. 

The renovations were significant and required the Owner moving out of the house for ten months.  The renovation and expansion created a new entry, library, great room, dining area and a new kitchen.  A second floor music room was added with a glass enclosed stair and balcony overlooking the pool.  The bedrooms and baths were updated and renovated as well.

The renovation provided the Owner with a new residence designed to fit their contemporary tastes and lifestyle, nestled on a large wooded lot in their desired area of north Dallas, within their budget.
