UCO Mitchell Hall Addition

Originally built in 1926, Mitchell Hall is the primary performance space on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma. The Hall, while historic, lacked adequate ancillary spaces to allow proper drama productions on the 20,000 student campus. Given the historic nature of Mitchell Hall, great care was taken to keep the Addition from overpowering the existing structure. The additions are located on both sides and the back of the existing Hall. Special attention was given to the exterior of the additions to match the existing brick and cast stone. The solution provides a new scene shop, crossover and storage areas, dressing rooms, a multi-purpose room, and a remodeled green room.
